golfin'

So I walked into work this morning and go walking by my boss’s office and he yells,
"Come here!"
I stop, turn around, and go into his office. He says, "So, do you have golf clubs?"
"Yup."
"Do they work?"
"Ummm... as far as I know."
"Do they work, today?"
Looking outside his office window I said, "Uh, you bet!"
"Great", he says, "you're playing golf today in a tournament."

So, today I left work at 11:15 and headed out to the links. I was teamed up with another coworker and two other guys that got assigned to our group at random. I was hoping that one of the two we got paired with could actually play so I could shoot in the red. Unfortunately, they weren't very good. We did end up shooting a 75 (par 71) which was better than I expected, and I ended up winning $50 in one of the contests. On hole #6 I drove the ball to within 12" of the center of the fairway, which I traded in for a nice golf shirt and a sleeve of balls.
