lunch!
There's nothing like lunch outdoors at the Taste of Minnesota. Crappy overpriced food at a WT public gathering. Note to self... don't come next year.

Along with posting from my camera phone, I have setup an email account
so I can email in a post from anywhere. This post is coming from my
work email account... hopefully it makes it "online".
Ps. I sure wish Louie110 would post more often.
this is another test post from my phone. Hopefully this one I won't have to modify if I got the settings right. The pic is of my not so clean cube...
Well Melissa and I were talking a month or so ago and she mentioned that she had a NWA airfare voucher to use before it expires in November. With talking with her I told her I'd go somewhere with her whenever she wanted to redeem it. Well, we ended up buying tickets to go and visit my sister and brother-in-law out in San Diego Cally over the 4th of July weekend. It should be a fun packed weekend!
So I finally did something that I’ve been thinking about doing for a while – adopting/sponsoring a kid. Well, one in a half to be exact. Melissa and I yesterday went to a party/gathering with the one of my Christian friends bosses house where the main focus was about a village in the Congo. From that meeting Melissa and I both signed up for sponsoring a child and then we went together on one. The short of it is my friends boss had it put into his heart that he should “adopt” a village in the Congo. The village that was picked has literally nothing – no clean water, poor to no medical, and most of the parents have died of AIDS. Now this wasn’t just this guy picking a village per say, this was done with the help of World Vision (www.worldvision.org), a Christian group that for 55 years has provided aid and relief to millions around the world. So with the help of World Vision, Dave and whomever he can find are adopting a village in an attempt to help the greater good. Pretty cool. So, my kid, Gendalia (a boy), was born April 4 1999 and lives in Congo. I am told that once we get 100 sponsors our sponsorship of the village will officially begin. Not to bad for $30 a month. It should be rewarding, and maybe in a few years I can take a trip to visit!
So I realize it's been a while since I posted... but believe you me, I've been busy. Since my Mexico vacation, which was awesome by the way, I've traveled to Chicago, Cook MN, Green Bay WI, and Sioux Falls SD. I've also been playing soccer twice a week and softball once a week. Spare time? Well, the girlfriend needs her time too... :)
