No shoes, no shirt, no problems

Tomorrow morning I'm off to Mexico to see friends get wed and to relax during a very nice vacation scuba diving. I'm pretty excited. It should be an awesome time! I am a little bummed on going though. As I mentioned before, I'm now in a relationship that is going way too well and not seeing Melissa for 7 days is definitely going to have flavors of heartache. I guess at least I get to see her tonight and tomorrow morning as she is dropping me off at the airport. I can’t wait, as most of my time I spend with her is precious. Other than that trip, I got back from 3 days in Chicago yesterday. I was down there doing some finishing up work on the tollway project. It's looking like there will need to be one more trip made down for some final adjustments and training. Once done we should get paid. Rah!

KC

Well, work has me once again on the road. This time the city of pleasure is Kansas City MO. The plan is to be down here for a week and get a system installed and running. The odds of it happening, 70%. I'm hoping things can get done as I am really looking forward to getting home this weekend.

official

Well, I think it's now finally safe to say that I have a girlfriend. I've been up for 36 hours straight, and with her for the last 18. It's been a damn good past few days...

swimming

Well, today I think my swimming took a turn for the better. The swim this evening was one of those swims where you're doing laps and trying different things with your stroke (having no idea what you're doing) when suddenly BAM, major improvement. I think that the technique change that I'm going to try to implement should change my efficiency. Hopefully it will be something that I can integrate and then I think all I have to work on is my speed and endurance.

bike - part deux

This weekend I rode my new tri bike a total of 20 miles. Man, what a difference compared to my old mountain bike with road tires. In just my first ride of the year I cut over 5 minutes off of my 13 mile route! I'm pretty pumped to see what I can do after a few months of riding!

bike

I rode my bike into work this morning... the first ride in of the year. It was a bit chilly, but a pleasure to be out again.

Just a note for my records, my milage at the beginning of the year is 6100.

funeral

From the funeral of the Pope off of Foxnews.com, published by the AP:
During the rite of Final Commendation and Farewell, the cardinals approach the coffin and the deacon calls all to prayer with the following words:

"Dear brothers and sisters let us entrust to the most gentle mercy of God, the soul of our Pope John Paul II. ... May the Blessed Virgin Mary ... intercede with God so that he might show the face of his blessed Son to our Pope, and console the church with the light of the resurrection."

To rephrase, “let us entrust God's mercy that the soul of the Pope will meet Jesus with the Mary's help while she negotiates with God”. I'm sorry to say to any Catholic that Mary has nothing to do with any of this. God doesn't need ANYONES help. He's GOD. He's all powerful, sinless, omnipotent, anywhere and everywhere. If He wants the Pope to meet Jesus, it shall be done. I can't believe that 1.1 billion people are duped into believing Mary had any spiritual authority with God, much less that she has the power to perform miracles if you pray to her. Utter insanity....

I tossed and turned until 5:30, and then decided to get up and watch TV. 6am rolled around and I figured I should go into work since I was obviosuly not going back to bed. I'm actually pretty nervious... but I'm keeing the info on the down low for now. More info to come, soon?

april fools

How apropos with today’s headlines - the Pope's condition 'Very Serious'.

Another thing that has caught my eye is the big whoha about this group of people that have decided to set up a neighborhood watch on the boarder of the US and Mexico. Why? Because they are sick of boarder jumpers. The result, the media and Mexican governement personel are calling them racist. What's wrong with this picture? April fools indeed.
